Founder, shamanic practitioner & ceremonial facilitator
Tiago Malakai Broomer
After years of depression, anxiety and a deep sense of disconnection, Tiago Malakai Broomer set out to understand himself and reconnect with something deeper. That search moved through shamanic traditions in the Brazilian Amazon, ceremonial work in England and teachings connected to Mexico. KETU is what grew from it: a practice that asks for no belief, only your presence.

After years of living with depression, anxiety and a deep sense of disconnection, Tiago Malakai Broomer began a personal search to understand himself, reclaim his life and reconnect with something deeper.
That search became a path of study, practice and initiation, carrying him through shamanic traditions in the Brazilian Amazon, sacred and ceremonial work in England, and teachings connected to Mexico.
KETU grew from that journey. Not a religion, a doctrine or a system to believe in, but a space for experience, awareness and reconnection. A practice that asks for no belief, only your presence.
Tiago's understanding of this work comes as much from lived experience as from training. His own journey taught him that real change can't be imposed from the outside. It starts when we're willing to meet ourselves more fully: our patterns, our stories, our strength, and the parts of us that got left behind along the way.
This shapes KETU's universalist approach. There's no requirement to follow a particular spiritual path. People of different beliefs, backgrounds and perspectives are welcome, including those who consider themselves sceptical or non-spiritual.
Today Tiago works with individuals, couples and groups across the UK and online, drawing from shamanic practice, ceremonial work, Reiki, energy awareness, meditation, conscious movement and other complementary traditions. Where appropriate, his ceremonial practice may also include traditional preparations such as Rapéh and cacao, approached with respect for their cultural origins and ceremonial context.
The purpose isn't to hand you another belief system to lean on. It's to create a space where you can listen more deeply, reconnect with yourself and recognise the resources, awareness and strength that are already yours.
In the end, it comes back to one thing: your life, your choices, your power, in your own hands.
Three territories, one practice
KETU has been shaped by experiences, teachings and practices from three different territories. Each left its own imprint on the work offered today.
Amazon rainforest, Brazil
Shamanic initiation, ceremonial practice and an encounter with traditional preparations such as Rapéh, Sananga, cacao and sacred tobacco — these became a foundation for Tiago's path.
England
A place of continued practice, sacred rites and integration, and the land where KETU eventually took root and continues to grow.
Mexico
Teachings and encounters with ancestral traditions that expanded Tiago's understanding of ceremony, spirituality and our relationship with the sacred.
Three territories. Different traditions. One ongoing practice, rooted in respect, experience and integration.
